The simplest way to get to our venue the Dorint Hotel (Grunaer Street 14, Dresden) is to hire a cab (9 km/5.5 mi). Most cabs should accept credit cards. It's a good idea though asking the driver before entering the cab or check whether there's a VISA/Amex/Master symbol on the window of the passenger door. Fare should be around 20 Euros, we haven't checked though.
The following is for people not hiring a cab. The airport (code DRS) is located north of Dresden and it has connections via tram and Bus to the city.
The safest albeit not shortest connection is to take the tram (S2,
leaves every 30 minutes) from Dresden airport (direction Pirnaer Bahnhof)
to the railway station Dresden Bahnhof Mitte (not the main central
station) and then change to tram S1 (direction Dresden Prohlis Gleisschleife).
Get off at Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, the hotel should be just accross the
road.
Others with more trust into their orientation capabitlities might want to try Bus 77 (direction Dresden Klotzsche) leaving from the airport, change at Infineon Nord into tram 7 (direction Pennrich Glasschleife) and
get off @ Prinaischer Platz. Then either have a short walk or change for one
station into S1 (direction Prohlis Gleisschleife) or S2 (direction Freystrasse).
Get off at Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, the hotel should be just accross the
road.
Train
If your train is happen to stop at Dresden Bahnhof Mitte change here
to S1 one like explained above.

Probably you have a navigation system in your car (Lat.: 51.04746,
Long.: 13.74988). If not, make sure you do some research before e.g. with
OSM or Google
Maps.
The hotel has an own garage which charges 15 Euros per
night (TBC). There might be lots around the corner with a meter which
cost less.
